Recall that when I first went out, Yangliuyiyi blew with the wind;
Now on the way back, heavy snow is flying all over the sky.
The road is muddy and difficult to walk, and it is really tiring to be thirsty and hungry.
Full of sadness, full of sadness. Who knows my sorrow?

The stubborn people in the north of Zhou Dynasty (later Xiongnu) were very strong and often invaded the Central Plains, which brought many disasters to the people's lives in the north at that time. There are many records in the calendar that the Emperor of Zhou sent troops to defend the border and ordered soldiers to send troops to defeat him. Judging from the content of "Picking Wei", it is a time for soldiers to defend their duties and work hard. The poem sings the hard life and homesickness of the soldiers who joined the army. The whole poem is divided into six chapters, and the first three chapters are stacked, in order to pick up the EU and write about it. The sergeant of the garrison is far from his hometown and has never returned for a long time. He is homesick and worried! The author wrote: Shan Wei, you have sprouted and been born. It's time for us to go home! But it's another year in a blink of an eye, and we can't take care of our families. Why? For the sake of the invasion, we didn't even have time to sit for a while, but also for the sake of the invasion. We need to attack! It's time to pick Wei again. Wei Ye has grown up and the leaves are tender. It's time to go home! The sadness in my heart is so fierce that I am rushing about for the war, and our garrison period is uncertain. Who can bring home a letter for us? Shanwei has grown strong and vigorous, so it's time to go home! It's already spring in October! But the king's business is endless, and he can't have leisure. His sad mood is very painful, but no one is comforting him! The fourth and fifth chapters are about the busy and tense border war: what are the blooming flowers? It's the flower of Tang Di. With the prosperity of flowers, it is a metaphor for the prosperity of military chariots and horses: what is so great? That's the military vehicle of the soldiers. Since the chariot has been driven, the war horse is tall and vigorous, the war is frequent, and the army has to migrate. How dare you settle down? Driving four stallions with their heads held high, the generals are sitting in the chariot, the infantry are hiding behind the chariot, the horses are mighty and vigorous, and the elephant-bone bow and fish-skin quiver in the hands of the soldiers are always on their side. The aggressive war is so powerful and rampant that the horses can strengthen their vigilance every day. These two chapters are about the ferocity of Xiongan and the grand military power of Zhou's army, which is strict in discipline and strong in pawn. But the life of garrison is also hard and tense, which is written by the author with realistic brushwork. The sixth chapter, with a change of pen, writes the sad feeling that the recruiter suffered from hunger and cold on the way back to his hometown: I think of the time when I went to war, the willows were flourishing in Ye Sheng, and at this time, the wind and snow returned home, the road was far away, and it was cold, hungry and thirsty, which was very embarrassing and miserable. Xie Xuan, a native of Jin Dynasty, regarded the four sentences of "I was past" as a poem in 300 articles. Great influence in literature. It is often sung and imitated by later scholars. Because the Book of Songs is known for its profundity and simplicity, there are not many such sad and moving works. Therefore, it became a model of lyric works in The Book of Songs and was praised by writers of all ages. The theme of this poem is serious. Zhou's soldiers are ready for battle because of their fierceness. As a garrison sergeant, the author describes the seriousness of the army and the hardships of life by ordering the generals and sending soldiers to guard China. The author's patriotic feelings are expressed through his hatred for you. It is also manifested by the description of their loyalty to their duties-"not eager to live", "not eager to live", "dare to settle down" and "don't quit" and the strong contrast between their extreme homesickness. The whole poem is complemented by touching descriptions of natural scenery: the birth of Wei, the softness of Wei, the rigidity of Wei, Tang Di bloom, Yiyi Yangliu, and the rain and snow, all of which set off the life of the sergeants, but they are homesick in their hearts. What is written here is the true thoughts of the soldiers. The sad mood does not reduce the value of this article as a patriotic poem, on the contrary, it shows people's innocence. From the writing point of view, it, like many works of the Book of Songs, uses the technique of arousing interest, and in addition, it is repeated in composition and morphology, so that the content and interest can be spread out layer by layer, gradually deepening, and also enhancing the musical beauty and rhythm of the works. The whole poem has narration, discussion, scenery, lyricism and psychological description, and it is well-arranged and very appropriate, so the article "Picking Wei" (excerpt) is indeed one of the chapters in the Book of Songs.
