Yichang, located in the southwest of Hubei Province, at the boundary of the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is a prefecture-level city in Hubei Province. Yichang, built on the Yangtze River, together with Xiangyang, is known as the sub-central city of Hubei Province. The comprehensive strength is second only to Wuhan, ranking second in Hubei Province, and it is an important transportation hub in Central China.
