Lai Guishan's son Lai Shijiang, born to his second wife, set up Guizhou Lai Shijiang Liquor Co. and his daughter Lai Shijun, born to his second wife, set up Guizhou Lai Shijun Liquor Co.

Lai Shihao, a son of Lai Guishan's third wife, is in charge of Guizhou Lai Shihao Liquor Co. and Lai Shizhong, another son of the third wife, owns Guizhou Lai Shizhong Liquor Co. Lai Shihao's brother, Lai Shicheng, owns a Laiyuan distillery.
