Which one is better, braised pancakes or fried pancakes?
Henan people’s breakfast is indispensable between braised pancakes and fried pancakes. They both have their own merits, so which one is better, braised pancakes or fried pancakes? In my opinion, the answer is braised pancakes.
First of all, the braised pancakes win in terms of taste. The braised cake is soft and glutinous in the mouth. It combines the aroma and salty taste of dried tofu, eggs, shredded pork and other ingredients. It has a good aftertaste and satisfies your appetite. Fried pancakes, on the other hand, seem a bit dry and hard, which can easily cause a dry mouth and leave an unsatisfactory memory.
Secondly, from a nutritional perspective, braised pancakes are also superior. The flour used in braised pancakes is more refined and has a better texture. When making braised pancakes, a lot of greasy seasonings are not used to enhance the taste. In contrast, fried pancakes require the use of a lot of fat. If you eat too much, you may need to reduce the fat in other diets.
Finally, from the perspective of material selection, braised pancakes are more particular. The flour used to make braised pancakes must use high-gluten flour, which is more expensive than ordinary flour, so the braised pancakes are more delicate than fried pancakes. The flour used for fried pancakes is generally of lower quality.
In short, braised pancakes and fried pancakes each have their own merits. But from the aspects of taste, nutrition and material selection, braised pancakes are more delicious, healthier and more worthy of our taste.
