Covering the lungs is delicate and dirty, and it likes moistening and aversion to dryness, and it likes clearing away heat but not cold and heat. The clinical manifestations are dry cough with little or no phlegm, accompanied by dry throat, itchy throat, dry nose, thirst, red tongue with scanty body fluid, thin white or yellow fur, and floating pulse. Treatment should relieve exterior syndrome, clear lung, moisten dryness and relieve cough. The prescription is modified Sangxing Decoction, and the medicines are: mulberry leaf, mulberry bark, almond, adenophora root, roasted loquat leaf, Fritillaria, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis, fermented soybean, mint, reed rhizome and so on. If the patient's symptoms such as nasal congestion, bad wind and itchy throat are prominent, Perillae Folium, Periostracum Cicadae, Bombyx Batryticatus, etc. can be added to dispel wind, spread lung and relieve cough. Yin deficiency, lung dryness, and loss of consciousness-this kind of syndrome is more common in chronic bronchitis, cough variant asthma, tuberculosis or lung cancer, and it is clinically regarded as a relevant examination to make a clear diagnosis. It can also be seen in patients who have taken heat-clearing and detoxicating or antibiotic treatment for a long time, with deficiency of lung yin, insufficient body fluid, excessive fire due to yin deficiency and endogenous deficiency heat. The clinical manifestations are dry cough with no phlegm, light day and heavy night, and persistent; Or less phlegm and sticky, not easy to cough up; Or blood in sputum, accompanied by dry mouth and throat, feverish hands and feet, emaciation and night sweats, red tongue with little coating, and rapid pulse. The method should nourish yin and moisten lung, clear dryness and relieve cough. The prescription is mixed with Radix Adenophorae, Radix Scrophulariae, Radix Ophiopogonis, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Lily, Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, roasted Folium Eriobotryae, Fritillaria thunbergii, Folium Mori and Cortex Mori. Anemarrhena rhizome and cortex Lycii are added for those who suffer from fever of hands and feet and night sleep and night sweats; For those with dry mouth and throat and blood in phlegm, Rhizoma Phragmitis and Rhizoma Imperatae should be added. Stagnation of liver-qi and stagnation of body fluid and accumulation of phlegm-this kind of syndrome is more common in laryngeal cough, and its main symptoms are dry cough, or choking cough with little phlegm, accompanied by discomfort of itchy throat such as ant walking and foreign body phlegm sticking to throat stalk, itchy throat means coughing, persistent cough, dry mouth, fullness in chest and hypochondrium or even dull pain, which is easy to induce or aggravate, with reddish tongue and thin white fur (greasy) The syndrome is stagnation of liver qi, accumulation of fluid and phlegm coagulation, unfavorable qi movement, and cough due to upward movement. Treatment is to soothe the liver, relieve depression, regulate qi and reduce adverse reactions. Sini Powder and Xiebai Powder are selected as the prescription, and the medicines are Bupleurum, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Fructus Aurantii, Magnolia Officinalis, Perilla frutescens, Cortex Mori, Cortex Lycii, Jade Butterfly, Fritillaria thunbergii and Radix Platycodi. If you see obvious hypochondriac pain, add Fructus Toosendan and Rhizoma Corydalis as appropriate; Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and Belamcanda belamcanda were added for patients with obvious dry throat and sore throat. Anemarrhena rhizome, cortex moutan and gardenia jasminoides Ellis can be added for patients with depression and restlessness.
