Reed planting method:

A, sowing land organization

Choose in the sunny soil moist place, if the soil is relatively dry, you can also be watered at a later stage. Before planting, we should carry out plowing and tilling work, the purpose is to remove weeds, to loosen the soil, easy on the fertilizer. Fertilizer is applied to the soil after tilling, taking into account the balance of soil nutrients, i.e., what is lacking is supplemented. If the place chosen is in a saline area, drainage and salt washing must also be carried out. A good furrow is made in the tilled soil with a depth of about 20 cm. The drainage system should be well designed beforehand to facilitate the later operation.

Two, planting methods:

There are two methods of reed planting, one is seed planting, due to the low survival rate of seed planting, it is generally not recommended that this type of planting. The other is cuttings, the survival rate is higher, usually choose this planting method. When planting cuttings, during the growing season before the average annual temperature of 15℃-30℃, the tops of the thick reed poles of the current year with a height of 30cm or more are selected as seedlings. Subsequently inserted seedlings in the irrigated land, soil irrigation water layer in about 5-12 cm, the lower part of the seedlings into the soil to a depth of more than 10 cm. There are two requirements when planting:First, at least one leaf node is inserted into the soil; second, all the upper part of the reed seedlings must be exposed to the water.

Three, maintenance management:

Reeds in the late growth, there should be sufficient water supply, in the river, lake water recharge places, at least 1 to 2 times a year to irrigate, spring irrigation is more important, and in winter, if possible, irrigation. If the water in the reed grassland is deep and the water does not flow, drainage work should be carried out in time. In June~July every year, some pesticides should be sprayed appropriately to prevent the reeds from being attacked by pests and diseases.
