In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the state was reduced to a county, and a large number of immigrants moved from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to Yixian for supplementary accounts. Immigrants here can't eat enough with only half a catty of food per person per day issued by the government. Immigrants mix grains with water, grind them into paste with a stone mill, put them on an iron plate (the precursor of tobacco seeds), spread them into "tissue paper" with bamboo slices, and put a lot of vegetables, wild vegetables, roots and leaves to satisfy their hunger. With the improvement of living standards, pancakes have developed from rough and full helplessness at first to fine and good eating today.
