Longyan city is located at 24 degrees 23 minutes north latitude-26 degrees 02 minutes east longitude 1 15 degrees 5 1 minute-17 degrees 45 minutes. It is connected to Quanzhou and Zhangzhou in Fujian Province in the east, Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province in the west, Meizhou in Guangdong Province in the south and Sanming in Fujian Province in the north. It is 2/0/6 km from Xiamen 142km (expressway mileage, the same below), 2/0/6 km from Quanzhou and 376km from Fuzhou. There is a cave at the foot of Cuiping Mountain, 2 kilometers east of Longyan City. This cave is named "Dragon Cave" because of its dragon-like rock pattern, so it is named Longyan City.
