Lingshui is a county under the jurisdiction of Sanya, Hainan. Its full name is Lingshui Li Autonomous County. It is located in the southeast of Hainan Island, bordering the South China Sea to the east, adjacent to Sanya City to the south, Baoting County to the west, and Baoting County to the north. It borders Wanning City and Qiongzhong County. It is a city and county with "large mixed settlements and small settlements" where the majority of the population is Li, Han, and Miao.
