You can eat garlic that has sprouted. At a suitable temperature, garlic seeds will quickly sprout and grow leaves, consuming the nutrients in the stems. Whether it is green garlic or garlic cloves, no toxic substances will be produced during the transformation of each growth stage.
So as long as the garlic does not change color, become moldy or rotten, it can be eaten even if it sprouts. There is no harm in eating it. However, the edible value of sprouted garlic will be greatly reduced because it gives new life to nutrients. Therefore, if you find that garlic has sprouted, it is better to simply cultivate it and eat the grown garlic leaves. In order to preserve garlic, put the garlic in a plastic bag, seal the bag tightly and place it in a dry and cool place. In this way, the carbon dioxide released by the garlic cannot be emitted, the oxygen will be reduced, and the moisture will be blocked. Garlic then lies dormant, delaying germination.
