In the process of planting cherry fruit trees, the soil must first be deeply plowed. Before planting, the soil needs to be sprayed with superphosphate and then loosened. The roots of the cherry fruit trees must be disinfected and then inserted into the soil. Add a small amount of farmyard manure and cover with soil to keep the soil moist. After planting, you can prune appropriately according to the growth.
1. Substrate preparation
Soil environment is the basic requirement in cherry fruit tree planting technology. Cherries like to grow in sandy soil with deep soil and strong water retention capacity. For growth, ensure that the pH value of the soil is around 5.6 to 7.0. Do not use saline-alkaline soil. Spray superphosphate on the soil before planting to prevent diseases.
2. Planting with soil
After disinfecting the roots of the cherry fruit trees, place them in the prepared soil, keeping the distance between each hole at about 40 centimeters, and placing them in the direction of the soil. Add a small amount of farmyard manure and cover with soil to a thickness of about 2 to 3 centimeters. After watering once, it is best to keep the soil moist.
3. Post-planting management
After the saplings are planted, the height of the plants can be controlled by pruning. Mainly, the leggy branches and upright branches on the main branches should be shortened by 25 to 30 inches. About 60 centimeters, keep the angle between the main branches and side branches at about 60 degrees. Keep the soil moist after pruning, and cover it with a layer of mulch when the weather is very cold.
4. Colonization management
Cherry grows fastest in a warm environment. Generally, sufficient environment must be provided after the plants are planted. The mulch film can be peeled off in spring and autumn to facilitate Light and ventilated, special flower fertilizer needs to be sprayed once during the initial flowering period to promote the differentiation of flower buds, and liquid fertilizer is applied 1 to 2 times during the fruit expansion period.
5. Cold-proof treatment
When the weather slowly turns cooler, cold-proof treatment is required. The main method is to paint each large branch white and spray the Shikangkai solution once during the flowering period. To prevent frost damage, pour water once about 10 to 15 days before harvesting. Keep the soil moist during normal periods. If the growth is good, it is best to topdress with external fertilizer.
