The tortoise (scientific name: Mauremys reevesii) is a reptile of the family Tortoidae and the genus Anopheles. The head is small, less than 1/4 of the width of the dorsal armor, the anterior part of the head is smooth, the posterior part of the skin with fine granular scales; the end of the muzzle to the medial lower oblique cut, the rostral margin of the keratinous sheath is thinner; the angle of intersection between the right and left dentary bones of the lower jaw is less than 90°. Dorsal armor more flat, with 3 longitudinal ribs, limbs slightly flattened, webbed between fingers and toes, clawed. The tail is short.
The dorsal armor is brownish-brown, the ventral armor and the bridge of the armor are brownish-yellow, and each shield has a large blackish-brown spot.
