Jiu'er, a 19-year-old girl, is simple, kind and intelligent, but is sold by her father to a leper as a daughter-in-law. After a series of ups and downs and tribulations, Jiu'er gradually grows into a woman with a distinct personality.
In terms of her emotions with Yu Zhanyao, she dares to love and hate without fear of bondage, and is brave enough to break through the feudal cage and pursue true love at all costs. At the critical moment of defending the country, she used her life to defend her homeland.
Because of a mule, Jiu'er's parents want to marry her to a leper who owns a brewery. While traveling in a sedan chair to get married, Jiu'er is intercepted by a bandit on the way. When Jiu'er's husband died, Jiu'er took over the wine shop.
Later, the Japanese army invades China. An old friend of Jiu'er's was killed by the Japanese, so Jiu'er wanted to take revenge on the Japanese, and she asked her workers to help.
