1, natural edible pigment
Directly from animals and plants, except Garcinia cambogia, it is harmless to human body. However, for safety reasons, the state still stipulates the maximum dosage of each natural edible pigment. There are many natural edible pigments, such as β-carotene, lycopene, anthocyanin, lutein and chlorophyll. As a food additive, it is not only harmless to human body, but also beneficial.
2. Synthesize food pigment
Bright color, strong coloring power, low cost and strong stability can make up for the shortcomings of natural food pigments (instability, high cost, etc.), so many food manufacturers prefer to use synthetic food pigments. The Hygienic Standard for the Use of Food Additives clearly lists the synthetic pigments that can be used, such as lemon yellow, sunset yellow, carmine, amaranth, indigo, etc., and stipulates the types of food used and the maximum dosage. Although synthetic food pigments are allowed to be added to foods, not all foods can be added.
