The order of Doudou's trilogy is Betrayal, Distant Savior, and Canopy Red Dust. Doudou, a well-known writer, met his good friend Li Hongying at the age of seventeen because of his work. 1990, Li Hongying went to Europe to settle down, and since then Li Hongying kept sending Doudou a lot of reference materials, and every time he returned to China, he told the author about some social life that was unfamiliar to him. In June 1995, the author started to write his novel Betrayal, and in August 1997, he finished the manuscript. The book "Betrayal" was serialized in the magazine "Woodpecker" in 2000, issues 1-4. In 2005, he completed the work "The Distant Savior". In December 2011, he also completed the full-length political novel "The Red Dust of the Sky", which was sold in July 2013.

The author has been working on the novel for over a decade.
