Gron’s character experience

On April 28, 1985, Hofre Gron was born in a barren mountain village called Chata in Ecuador. Many famous Ecuadorian stars were born here, including Gron’s brother Raul Gron. He was also the national player of Ecuador that year and participated in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan as the main defender. In such a football town, it was natural for Geron, who had been influenced by his brother since he was a child, to embark on the path of football. What's more, he has better physical fitness and football skills than his brother. When he was 13 years old, Gron entered the youth training camp of the Ecuadorian first division team Ocas Club. At the age of 16, Geron, who plays as a forward, had the opportunity to make his first appearance in the First Division on behalf of the Ocas team, and his outstanding skills began to show in front of everyone. Not only is Gronn extremely fast, he is also good at dribbling, making accurate passes, and works well with his teammates. This characteristic allows him to play both forward and winger positions. Because of his extremely explosive power, fans later gave him a nickname: "Dynamite."

Soon, Geron was discovered by a scout from the A-League team Boca Juniors and joined the team in 2005. However, in the Boca Juniors team where big names gather, Gron can only stay in the youth team and wait for opportunities. So in 2006, Geron transferred back to Ecuador. This time he joined the domestic top team Universidad Sport de Quito. At the age of 21, he started his brilliant career here.

In the 2007 season, the increasingly mature Geron represented the team 47 times in the league and cup, 11 of which were as starters, and scored 10 goals throughout the season. While completing the transformation from substitute to main player, he helped the Quito Sports University team win the 9th Ecuadorian League Championship in history. He is also regarded as a rising star in the history of Ecuadorian football.
