13.2 Source

This product is the Umbelliferous plant Ligusticum sinense Oliv. or Liao Ligusticum Ligusticum Nakai? Ligusticum sinense Oliv. or Ligusticum liao Ligusticum jeholense Nakai? et? Kitag. Autumn stems and leaves withered or the next spring when the seedlings are dug, remove the sediment, sun-dried or dried.

13.3 Traits 13.3.1 Ligustrum

The rhizome is irregular nodular cylindrical, slightly twisted, with branches, 3-10 cm long, 1-2 cm in diameter. the surface is brown or dark brown, rough, with longitudinal wrinkles, the upper side of the residue of several depressed rounded stems, the lower side of the majority of dotted protruding root scars and root stumps. Light, hard, easy to break, yellow or yellow-white cross-section, fibrous. Gas strong aroma, taste pungent, bitter, slightly numbing.

13.3.2 Liao Ligustrum

Smaller, the rhizome is in the form of irregular lumps or columns, 1-3cm long, 0.6-2cm in diameter, with most of the slender curved roots.

13.4 Identification

Take 1g of powder, add 10ml of ether, cold soak for 1 hour, ultrasonic treatment for 20 minutes, filtration, filtrate concentrated to 1ml, as a test solution. Also take 1g of ligustrum control herb, the same method into the control herb solution. According to the thin layer chromatography (Appendix VIB) test, absorb the above two solutions of 1μl, respectively, point in the same silica gel G thin layer plate, with petroleum ether (60 ~ 90 ℃) - acetone (95:5) as the unfolding agent, unfolding, spreading distance of 10cm, remove, dry, and placed in the ultraviolet lamp (365nm) under the examination. In the chromatogram of the test article, in the corresponding position with the chromatogram of the control herb, the main fluorescent spots of the same color.

13.5 Check 13.5.1 Moisture

Not more than 10.0% (Appendix IXH second method).

13.5.2 Total ash

Not more than 15.0% (Appendix IXK).

13.5.3 Acid-insoluble ash

Not more than 10.0% (Appendix IXK).

13.6 Leachate

Determined according to the alcohol soluble leachate method (Appendix XA) under the hot leaching method, with ethanol as a solvent, not less than 13.0%.

13.7 Content determination

Determined by high performance liquid chromatography (Appendix VI D).

13.7.1 Chromatographic conditions and system suitability test
