Nongkenuo 336 is a series of high-leaf varieties, such as Nongkenuo 336, sweet, sour and waxy, which was bred by innovative application of the heterosis model of "waxy single recessive x sweet waxy double recessive".

Nongkenuo 336 and other series varieties are also becoming important corn varieties for farmers in Beijing suburbs to increase their income and get rich. Han Fengling, a big producer of fresh corn in Zhenchangshe Village, Liu Lihe, Fangshan District, Beijing, has been planting varieties selected by Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry for more than ten years, and led villagers to set up professional cooperatives for fresh corn planting, with an annual planting area of more than 2,700 mu, with remarkable benefits.
