The weather is getting warmer and warmer, which is a good time to walk in spring and enjoy flowers. What can the cake paper plates left over from the picnic in spring be used for besides making loops? If your child likes to beat, you might as well make a colorful drum with him and let the child follow the drumming to welcome the spring full of vitality.

This work is suitable for four-year-old children. If younger children can't master more delicate movements, parents can help with more complicated steps, and then let the children help with rice irrigation and coloring.

Materials for self-made paper drum:

Each drum needs 2 round paper plates.

Fine twine (either twine or wool)

Punching machine (or safety scissors/ballpoint pen)

Safety thick needle (if not omitted)

Dry spaghetti or uncooked rice

Pigment (children's nontoxic poster color or watercolor)

sellotape

Steps:

First, first of all, fold the sides of the paper plates that hold food. After folding, the bottoms of the two paper plates are outward and slightly bulging. Then, make holes along the edge of the cake paper tray, or poke holes with a ballpoint pen, each hole is 2 cm apart. (pictured)

Second, if there is a safe thick needle for children to use at home, let the children practice threading the needle with fine hemp rope and "sew" the two paper plates together according to the hole. If there is no thick needle, let the child align the thread into the hole and tie the paper plates together. It will be slower by hand, but the same effect can still be achieved. When there are 3 ~ 4 holes left, pour the dry spaghetti into the paper drum (it is not necessary to fill it completely), and then finish the remaining holes.

Third, if you want to put rice, you must first stick the edge of the paper tray with tape so that the rice grains will not fall out. In this way, when you beat the paper drum, the rice grains or spaghetti inside will make a nice rustling sound.
