The scientific name of marine intestine is "Spinibarbus unicinctus", which is a common benthic invertebrate in the intertidal zone and subtidal zone along the northern coast of China, and has the ability to purify water. It looks like a sea cucumber without thorns, so it is named because it is red all over and looks like sausage or chicken intestines.
In recent years, due to overfishing and environmental pollution, natural resources have gradually dried up and prices have soared, so artificial breeding is needed to protect species resources and meet demand. At present, scientists mainly study the nutritional development and sulfide metabolism of Nitraria unicolor.
Distribution range of Spinibarbus unicinctus
Spinibarbus unicinctus is widely distributed in the ocean, mainly in Dalian, China, and also in Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea. The vertical distribution can reach 10000m, which grows from the cold zone to the tropical sea, but China is only produced in Bohai Bay.
Spinibarbus unicinctus is mainly distributed in coastal beaches or rock crevices in Yantai, Weihai and Qingdao in Shandong Province. Therefore, Shandong Jiaodong area is the largest producing area of Spinibarbus unicinctus in China. It is also reported that there is also the discovery of Spinibarbus unicinctus in Xiamen, Fujian.
