Pigs have white foam in their lungs and white foam coming out of their noses. Pathology is said to be swine pneumonic disease. Pneumonic disease in pigs is an acute, febrile infectious disease caused by Pasteurella multocida. It is characterized by the most acute type of septicemia and pharyngitis; acute type of fibrinous pleuropneumonia; chronic type is less common, the main performance is chronic pneumonia.
Symptoms of the acute type: lesions characterized by pulmonary hepatic changes, edema, emphysema and hemorrhage, mainly located in the apical lobe, cardiac lobe and the anterior edge of the diaphragm lobe. If the disease is a little longer, there are necrotic foci within the area of hepatic changes, plasma infiltration between the lung lobules, and the section of the pneumonic part is often marbled. The surfaces of the pulmonary-hepatic lesions are characterized by fibrinous flocculations and are often adherent to the pleura. Effusion in the pleural and pericardial cavities. The lymph nodes of the chest are enlarged and the sections are red and juicy. There is a lot of foamy mucus in the bronchi and trachea and inflammatory changes in the tracheal mucosa.
Symptoms of the chronic form: large necrotic foci in the lungs with connective tissue encapsulation containing caseous material, some forming cavities. Increased fluid in the pericardium and thoracic cavity, thickened and rough pleura with fibrous flocs adhering to the diseased lung. No septic lesions.
Preventive measures:
(1) Usually, feeding management should be strengthened, cleanliness and hygiene should be improved, and regular inoculation of bacterial vaccine should be carried out. Once the herd disease, should immediately take isolation, disinfection, emergency inoculation, drug treatment available antibiotic drugs. Carcasses should be buried deep or high temperature harmless treatment.
(2) Penicillin, streptomycin mixed intramuscular injection, twice a day for three days. Streptomycin, kanamycin mixed intramuscular injection, once a day, for three days. 20% sulfadiazine sodium injection 10-20 ml (25-50 kg body weight of pigs dosage), intramuscular injection, once a day, for three days.
(3) New arsine vanadine (also known as "914"), according to the calculation of 0.01-0.015 grams per kilogram of body weight, with injection water or glucose saline dissolved in intravenous injection. Sodium sulfadiazine injection at the same time will be more effective.
Vaccination: the pathogenic bacteria of porcine pneumonic disease mainly have type A and type B, there is no cross-immunity between the two, and can be vaccinated with both serotypes at the same time. After 40-50 days of age, piglets with A-type swine pneumonic disease vaccine (strain 731) T and B-type swine pneumonic disease vaccine (strain EQ630), dissolved in saline with aluminum gel after the head of piglets injected with a portion of a piglet, breeders are vaccinated two times a year, each head injected with 2 portions of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a portion of a piglet. Can be mixed with swine dengue vaccine inoculation.
