Nutritional components (unit: 1 gm)

The main components include vitamins A and B, potassium, chromium, zinc, magnesium, manganese, and other phytochemicals, such as β-carotene, mannitol and pectin.

Health-care efficacy

1. Cell protection and antioxidation:

Polysaccharides (including glucose, glucuronic acid, galactose, arabinose, xylose, etc.) and pumpkin seeds contain vitamin E, zinc, magnesium, polyphenol antioxidants (hydroxybenzoic acid, coumaric acid, ferulic acid, etc.) and lignin, etc., which provide antioxidant properties. Two vitamin E forms with higher bioavailability (α-Toononole and γ-Toononole) are only found in pumpkin seeds.

2. Prostate hypertrophy:

Studies indicate that pumpkin seeds are rich in phytosterols, lignans, zinc, etc., which can relieve benign prostatic hyperplasia. Most of the studies are extracts or pumpkin seed oil, and the effect of directly ingesting pumpkin seeds needs to be observed.

3. Hypolipidemic:

Pumpkin extract 1μg/ml is equivalent to lipid-lowering drug Pravasatin .4μg/ml, which inhibits HMG-CoA reductase and reduces cholesterol synthesis.

4. Diabetes nemesis?

Cucurbita moschata contains tetrasaccharide glycocoliplids (qgmg-3 and qgmg-2), which can reduce blood sugar in diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin or high-fat diet. Most of them are animal studies, which are beneficial to diabetes control by reducing oxidative stress.

The health care efficacy is mostly studied in prostate. In 211, Swedish research pointed out that zinc intake in diet plays an important role in the disease outcome of patients with prostate tumor, and high zinc intake (more than 15.65 mg/day) has a lower mortality rate.

If you want to increase zinc intake through diet, pumpkin is your good choice! Zinc is mainly on the membrane in the pumpkin seed shell, so it is best to eat it in the shell. When eating pumpkin, you can take the seeds and nutrients in an all-round way!

It should be noted that 11g pumpkin is about 1/4 bowl of rice, so it should be replaced by patients with blood sugar, so as to avoid high blood sugar caused by excessive intake.

nutritionist reminds me

1. If pumpkin seeds are baked, do not exceed 2 minutes, otherwise the structure of pumpkin seed oil will change.

2. potassium and phosphorus are high, so patients with kidney disease should pay attention to their intake!
