Suet oil is the fatty oil of goats or sheep of the genus Capra in the family Bovidae. It is sweet in taste and warm in nature. Modern research has found that sheep oil contains palmitic acid, stearic acid, myristic acid, oleic acid, and a small amount of linoleic acid, hexadecenoic acid, octadecadienoic acid and other ingredients, which have certain antioxidant effects. When in use, mutton oil can be melted and brewed, and the usual daily dosage is 30 to 60 grams; mutton oil can be cooked in porridge or decoction; for external use, mutton oil can be boiled into a paste and applied to the affected area.
However, you should not eat too much mutton oil to avoid causing phlegm and dampness; people with unclear external symptoms and excessive phlegm-fire should not take mutton oil.
