Coptis Lian Ejiao Decoction - "Treatise on Febrile Diseases"

The prescription is 12 grams of Coptis chinensis, 6 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis, 6 grams of peony root, 2 pieces of chicken rooster, and 9 grams of donkey hide gelatin.

Its main functions are nourishing yin and purging fire, nourishing the kidneys and calming the heart. To treat Shaoyin disease, if it lasts for more than two or three days, the patient will feel upset and unable to lie down.

Usage and dosage: Take the five flavors, use 1.2 liters of water, fry three things first, take 600 ml, drain, add donkey-hide gelatin, seal it up, cool slightly, add chicken yellow, stir well, take warm every time 200 ml, three times a day.

Note: In the prescription, Coptis chinensis can relieve heart fire, donkey-hide gelatin can replenish kidney water, scutellaria baicalensis combined with coptis has strong fire-clearing power, and peony combined with donkey-hide gelatin has strong water-replenishing power. The wonderful thing is that chicken yellow nourishes kidney yin, nourishes the heart and blood and calms the mind. When several medicines are used together, the kidney water can be prosperous, the heart fire can be cleared, the heart and kidneys can communicate, water and fire are both relieved, and all syndromes are calmed down.

The prescription is 1 qian for Chuanlian and 5 qian for Zhongshengdi. 8 cents for roasted licorice, 3 cents for fried Diyu, 3 cents for donkey-hide gelatin beads, 2 cents for stir-fried skullcap, 6 cents for Angelica sinensis, and 5 cents for raw white peony root.

Function: Mainly used to treat internal retraction due to spring temperature, red dysentery and yin damage.

Prescription Coptis 1 qian (fried) , donkey hide gelatin (fried) 1 cent, woody 7 cents, dried ginger (fried) 5 cents, ginseng 1 cent, atractylodes 1 cent, poria 1 cent, zhicao 5 cents, 3 black plums.

Its main function is to clear away heat and relieve pregnancy. Mainly used to treat persistent dysentery in pregnancy.

Usage and Dosage: Add ginger and jujube, boil in water and take before eating.
