Now introduced and cultivated in all major lake areas. In the past, hairy crabs were spawned offshore of the Yangtze River Estuary. After growing into young crabs, they migrated against the Yangtze River and grew in the lakes and rivers in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

Cultural History

my country has a history of eating crabs for nearly 5,000 years. In the Yangtze River Delta, archaeologists discovered during the excavations of the Songze Culture in Qingpu, Shanghai, and the Liangzhu Culture in Yuhang, Zhejiang, that there were a large number of river crab shells among the waste eaten by our ancestors.

This shows that Chinese people have a long history of eating crabs, while some countries in Western Europe and North America still dare not eat river crabs.

After a long period of historical precipitation, people have found that the quality of river crabs grown in three regions of my country is the best, that is, there are three famous crabs in China: the ancient Danyang Daze river crab located in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces - Huajin Lake hairy crab; Hebei Baiyangdian river crab - Shengfang crab; Jiangsu Gucheng Lake hairy crab - Gucheng Lake hairy crab.

Historically, the ancient Danyang Daze included: Danyang Lake, Shijiu Lake, Gucheng Lake, Nanyi Lake and a large area of ??low-lying wetlands in the surrounding areas, covering an area of ??nearly 3 million acres (15 acres = 1 hm2, below same). This wetland spans southern Jiangsu and southern Anhui, forming a triangle and is known as the "Golden Triangle".
