1, the structure of female vagina: pubic mound
The pubic mound is located under the lower abdomen and consists of skin and thickened adipose tissue. After its surface bulges into adolescence, pubic hair grows on the pubic mound, generally with the tip downward and mostly in an inverted triangle distribution, and the pubic mound has a buffering and protective function. Also, the number, thickness, color and shape of women's pubic hair are different, mostly because of genetic characteristics that make individuals different.
The structural characteristics of a woman's vagina are narrower at the lower part and wider at the upper part.
2. The structure of female vagina: labia minora.
The labia minora is located on the inner side of the labia majora. It is a pair of mucosal folds with dark color and moist surface, extending upward to the prepuce of the clitoris, and the lower end meets the navicular fossa of the vaginal opening. Like labia majora, the shape, size, thickness and color of female labia minora are different, which is related to genetic, racial and nutritional factors. On the other hand, in the course of a woman's life, the shape of labia minora will change with the change of age and physical development. However, the labia minora is obviously different from the individual, and one thing is certain: the color of female exophytic organs will deepen with the increase of female hormone level, and the color of skin and mucosa will fade when the hormone level is low.
3. Structure of female vagina: clitoris
The clitoris, located at the top between the labia minora on both sides, is a small oblong organ with a round end and an inner end connected with a bundle of thin erectile tissue. Erectile tissue is a kind of cavernous tissue, which is rich in venous plexus and nerve endings, so it is sensitive and easy to bleed after injury. A woman's clitoris is equivalent to the glans of a man's penis.
The structural characteristics of a woman's vagina are narrower at the lower part and wider at the upper part.
4. The structure of female vagina: vestibule.
The prismatic area surrounded by labia minora on both sides is called vestibule. The surface is covered by mucous membrane, which is approximately a triangle. The tip of the triangle is clitoris, the bottom is labia lacia, and the two sides are labia minora. The urethral opening is in the upper vestibule. The vaginal opening is in its lower part. There are also forecourt ball and vestibular gland in this area.
5. The structure of female vagina: hymen
The vaginal opening is covered by an incomplete mucous membrane, which is called hymen. There is a hole in the middle of the hymen through which menstrual blood flows. The size of the hymen hole and the thickness of the membrane vary from person to person. After the hymen is broken, the mucosa presents many small spheres and becomes hymen marks. The hymen doesn't mean anything.
