Sheep liver: flat and thick, slightly rectangular, solid and brittle, slightly elastic. Most of them are located in the right rib, without interlobular notch, and the lobulation is not obvious. They are divided into left, middle and right lobes by gallbladder and ligamentum teres. The liver of young and well-nourished individuals is light brown, and the liver of old or thin individuals is dark reddish brown.
Pig liver: well developed, with obvious lobulation. There are three deep interlobular incisions on the abdominal edge to divide the liver into left lobe, left inner lobe, right inner lobe and right lobe. The middle lobe includes the square lobe between the portal and gallbladder, the caudate lobe and caudate process above the portal. Because the connective tissue between pig liver lobes is developed, obvious liver lobules can be seen with naked eyes on the liver surface. The gallbladder is located in the gallbladder fossa of the right inner lobe.
I hope the answer can help you.
