Phytomorphology Perennial herb with climbing woody stems, 1-5m high, slightly hairy, glabrescent. Leaves alternate, ovate-triangular or elliptic-lanceolate, 4-12 cm long, 2-6 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate to truncate, margin irregularly notched-dentate or microwave-like or subentire, both surfaces sparsely covered with fine hairs. Inflorescences terminal, arranged in corymbs; involucre cylindrical, involucral bracts 1-layered; flowers yellow, ligulate flowers female, tubular flowers bisexual. Achenes terete, longitudinally furrowed, shortly hairy, crown hairs white. Flowering and fruiting period from fall and winter to the following spring.
