Growth habit of blueberry
Blueberry belongs to Ericaceae and Vaccinium. There are many shrubs, and the height of the trees is very different, which can reach 10m, and it is often controlled at about 3m in cultivation. The height of high-bush blueberry trees is generally 1 to 3m, that of semi-high-bush blueberry trees is 50-100cm, and that of short-bush blueberry trees is 30-50cm. Leaves alternate. Blueberries with high, semi-high and low clumps shed their leaves before winter. Rabbit eyes are evergreen, and the most common leaf shape is oval. Most kinds of leaves are covered with fluff on the back, and some kinds of flowers and fruits are also covered with fluff, but there is little fluff on the leaves of dwarf blueberry.
The flowers of blueberries are racemes. Inflorescence mostly lateral, sometimes terminal. Flowers solitary or twin in axils of leaves. The flower buds of blueberries usually grow at the top of branches. The fruit belongs to a small berry, which is blue and beautiful in color. It is wrapped by a layer of white fruit powder, with delicate pulp and tiny seeds.
