Great duckweed
Great duckweed (scientific name: Pistia stratiotes), commonly known as water cabbage, water lotus or big-leafed lotus, is the only species of the genus great duckweed in the family Tennessee. It is a perennial floating herbaceous plant, monoecious, reproduces rapidly, and is the number one natural enemy of agriculture and environmental protection, and has been included in our country's list of 100 most dangerous invasive species. Greater duckweed is an exotic species, originating from Brazil, now widely distributed in tropical and subtropical areas, many inland lakes in South China and East China are also large-scale appearance of greater duckweed.
