In recent years, gin has gained popularity in places like Finland, California and the outer islands of Scotland, and has created a wave of craft distilled spirits around the world. Now, Australia is joining the trend. According to the International Wine and Spirits Report 2018, consumption of vodka, whisky and rum in Australia is on the decline, while local gin consumption increased by 33% in 2017 compared to the previous year.
