Eggplant varieties
Eggplant varieties can be classified by fruit, plant or maturity. According to their maturity, they can be divided into three categories: early, medium and late. Blitha
This kind of eggplant has large plants, small calyx, medium leaf area, thornless stems, early maturity, good yield, fast growth and long harvest period. The fruit is long, with an average fruit length of 25~35cm, a diameter of 6~8cm, and a single fruit weight of 400~450gg. It is generally planted in spring and will be launched in September. The yield per mu can reach about 1,000 kilograms.
Elysee
This eggplant is an excellent black eggplant variety cultivated in greenhouses in autumn and winter and in protected areas in early spring. It has good firming performance under low temperature, usually matures in autumn, and the yield per mu can reach 800 kilograms. From 010 to 1010, a new purple-black hybrid eggplant variety, Kurokami, was introduced from Japan. It is early-maturing, disease-resistant, high-yielding and extra-long. It is generally planted in spring and autumn and matures in August. The yield per mu can reach about 600 kilograms.
Black God
This kind of eggplant has strong growth potential, good continuous fruiting, and a very good taste when combined with cooking in the later stage. It is one of the most common varieties on the market. It is generally planted in spring and goes on the market in October, with a yield of 4,500 kilograms per mu.
Yuanza No. 16
It is a high-yielding, yellow rot-resistant, medium-early maturing round eggplant hybrid. It is usually planted in spring and is available in October. The average yield per plant can reach 7-10, the weight of a single fruit is about 750 grams, and the yield per mu is more than 5,000 kilograms.
