Where does Desmodium styracifolium in Sichuan come from?
Origin: Sichuan, China. Features: Sichuan Lysimachia christinae, alias "Lysimachia christinae", "Floret Paicao" and "Xiaohuangyao", is a perennial evergreen herb of Primulaceae. The leaves of grass are round, much like money, but also can melt the stones in the gallbladder, so it is called "money grass". Its sexual preference is cool and humid, and it is mostly born on slopes with fertile soil, sparse forests and damp places with grass, and it is not cold-resistant. This grass is soft and crawling on the ground, reddish, 20 to 60 cm long. Leaves are opposite, heart-shaped, midvein is obvious, both sides are hairless, yellow flowers bloom in spring, and two flowers are opposite and axillary. Capsule is spherical with short black glandular spots. The wild Herba Lysimachiae Christinae is harvested in April and May, and the domestic Herba Lysimachiae Christinae is harvested once in September and October of the year when it is planted, and then harvested twice in June and September respectively. Generally, it is cut two to three inches from the ground and dried to obtain the finished product. Ingredients: Desmodium styracifolium contains flavonoids, glycosides, tannins, volatile oil, amino acids, choline, sterols, potassium chloride, lactone and other chemical components. Nowadays, it is mostly used to treat hepatolithiasis, cholecystitis, icteric hepatitis, urinary calculi, edema, traumatic injury, snake bite and other diseases. The decoction of this product also has inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus.
