Here's how to do it: (I think most people have done it and drunk it, so allow me to say a little more)

1 Slice ginger into thick slices, soak mushrooms in hot water first, cut chicken into pieces (whatever size you like), and wash angelica and Polygonatum odoratum.
Put the ginger slices in the casserole and let the water boil first (so that the chicken won't touch the pot)
After the water is boiled, put the washed mushrooms, chicken, angelica and Polygonatum odoratum into the pot and cook.
