My experience
When I saw this watch, I found myself a real troublemaker, and behind it were countless overtime nights and weekends.
Working overtime in state-owned enterprises
After drinking a cup of tea and reading a newspaper, half a day passed; Pull a light, find a treasure, and the day has passed. The ease of life drives you crazy, but you can't bear to leave. Before I went to state-owned enterprises, people told me so, and I naively believed it.
In fact, most of my nights and weekends are occupied by overtime. As a technician in a construction company, my daily work includes compiling construction scheme and technical scheme, making time limit for a project plan, drawing technical disclosure and technical change orders, writing correspondence, writing construction methods and patents, publishing papers, and making PPT reports. Although there are five or six people in our department, I am busy alone most of the time.
Whenever a person works overtime to the canteen, I will curse in my heart; Whenever a person works overtime until late at night, I curse in the street. I feel particularly unfair. Why should I work overtime? Why should I work overtime alone?
Yes, I hate working overtime when I stay in a state-owned enterprise. I don't think I should give so much work to a newcomer all at once. I think it should be done step by step. I think several other people in the same position in the office should also do something.
After three months, I began to get used to working overtime, and I was also used to the praise at large and small meetings. After half a year, I became a full member six months ahead of schedule with the first score of on-site defense; A year later, I undoubtedly became the person who knew the project best in the whole team.
In the past, all the grievances and unwillingness when working overtime have disappeared. At this moment, I finally know the meaning of working overtime-let me become stronger faster. In the year after that, I took more initiative to undertake difficult work, and I had to work overtime, but I was happy when I saw that I was more "capable" than people of the same or even a higher level.
Feeling: In state-owned enterprises, overtime allows you to surpass many people in a short time.
Working overtime in a startup company
Non-mainstream office park, LOFT office building, open office area, playing darts and eating pizza, I was deeply attracted when I first walked into this startup. The founding team from Ali made me feel fascinated and immediately made up my mind to join them, which was quite a rush to meet each other.
From the traditional construction industry to the internet, from technology to operation, I officially changed careers with great pride and a little preparation. Weibo 3000 fans, WeChat 200 fans, take over the status quo of SNS. The bosses have not set a clear goal, but they can see that they have great expectations for me and new media.
Although I usually like to play WeChat and Weibo, it's quite another matter to operate them. During the day, I will find materials, write articles, typeset and interact with the few fans according to the established plan; Look at the information at night and catch up on all kinds of operational knowledge. It is not necessary to have a full life. During that time, everyone in this company with an average age of less than 25 was full of passion until one day came.
After spending four or five months happily in this company, the atmosphere of the company suddenly became strange (now I think it was the failure of the B round of financing). Suddenly, the technology, operation, design, BD and administration all changed their work contents and went to Yangpu Street to distribute leaflets and put up posters.
14 winter is very cold, but we need to send leaflets to the primary school near Wujiaochang before 7: 30 in the morning; There is a strong wind in the street, but we need to carry thousands of posters to drive away the aunts in various communities in Shanghai; I was almost cursed before I went crazy; At night, pedestrians come and go in a hurry at the subway station. We shouted "Tongji Fudan, undergraduate tutor only needs 1 yuan" in the cold and white eyes ...
Finally, after an unpleasant incident in the New Year, I left nearly ten people in a week, and I was one of them.
Now think about that winter, overtime is really worthless, not to say that leaflets and posters are low, but because of those efforts, and those overtime hours don't make much sense. The best relationship between employees and the company is-hello, I am good, and we become better together after getting together. If your company is also showing signs of letting "sky-high" programmers distribute leaflets, I advise you to leave quickly and work overtime in another company.
Feeling: In a startup, you must do something meaningful if you work overtime.
Working overtime in a listed company
Well, our company hasn't listed yet, but it will soon. In this fast-growing company, I have a group of excellent colleagues who try their best to prove that "people smarter than you work harder than you", so whether I leave at eight or nine o'clock or one or two o'clock, I can always see a busy figure.
With such a group of people, you can't help but work hard and overtime. What's more, I made a second job leap. This time, I finally stepped into my favorite product post, and I eagerly absorbed all kinds of knowledge, because I know that excellent product managers need huge knowledge reserves and industry acumen.
During the day, I focus on my own products. At night, I study competing products, watch industry news, read all kinds of Internet books, write my work feelings, and write reading notes ... Overtime is a helpless and painful thing, but I am very busy.
If there are only a few people in the office and you are still busy and excited, congratulations-you have a clear goal, you are still working hard, and you must have a bright future.
Feeling: In listed companies, overtime is not the company's requirement, but its own demand.
Write it at the end
Write about your work and let yourself keep thinking; Write reading notes and let yourself learn to refine; Write competitive analysis to make yourself sensitive. Persist, I believe that I will be very different after one year.
