The Italian Renaissance occurred in Europe from the 14th to the 17th century. The two earliest figures of the Italian Renaissance:
1. Dante’s work "The Long Poem" exposed the greed and corruption of the church. The dark cruelty of feudal rule.
2. Giotto's work "Giotto is a Painter". His murals mainly use religious themes to depict the complex personalities of characters and the real secular world. He is known as the "Father of European Painting".
3. Other figures include: Petrarch, known as the "Father of Humanism".
4. Writer: Boccaccio.
The 15th and 16th centuries were the peak of the Italian Renaissance, with the emergence of the "Three Masters of Art": Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael.
5. British dramatist: Shakespeare is an outstanding representative of British humanism.
6. French writer: Rabelais is one of the representatives of the French Renaissance.
Now let me talk about the science of the Renaissance
Polish scientist Copernicus created the "solar center theory", which shocked the scientific and ideological circles and shook the foundation of feudal theology.
German scholar: Kepler inherited and developed the ideas of Copernicus and discovered the law of planets moving along elliptical orbits around the sun.
The Italian scientist Galileo Galilei's homemade telescope proved Copernicus' "solar center theory". He is regarded as the founder of modern experimental science.
Excellent thinkers such as Bruno in Italy and Francis Bacon in the UK advocated materialism and contributed to the development of science.
