The origin of Tianci village
A "God-given" legend was given by the son of heaven.

According to Boya Geographical Names Sharing Network, Tianci Village was originally named Xinshi Village, which is a "Tianci" name, and it is said that Tianzi gave it a name. During Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty, there were two prodigies in Hainan, one was Xing You of Wenchang, and the other was Qiu Jun of Qiongshan. Both of them were admitted to Jinshi. Legend has it that before Qiu Jun returned to his hometown to Beijing, Xing You sent several famous Tan Niu chickens from his hometown. Qiu Jun brought it back to Beijing and invited the emperor to taste it. Unexpectedly, the emperor boasted after eating it and asked, "Where's the chicken?" Qiu Jun said in Hainan Mandarin: "Wenchang New Town Village, my hometown." Hainan dialect has a strong Mandarin accent. When Tian Zi heard Beijing dialect, he thought it was a "God-given village", so he said a nice name. As a result, God-given "Chicken" and Wenchang Chicken became famous all over the world, and Xinshi Village was renamed as God-given Village because of the appreciation of the emperor.
