What is the main ingredient of honey?
Honey refers to the sweet liquid brewed by bees from nectaries of plants and secretions of other insects (such as aphids and scale insects) and non-nectary tissues of plants. Usually, what we call honey only refers to those foods that are processed and brewed by bees after collecting nectar secretion from plants, while the foods brewed by bees after collecting sweet juice secreted by other insects and non-nectar tissues of plants are called nectar.

Honey contains 180 different substances, the main components are glucose and fructose, accounting for 65% ~ 85% of the weight of honey, and sucrose does not exceed 5%. The water content is 16% ~ 25%, and other components include various amino acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, aromatic agents, pigments, hormones, organic acids, enzymes and bioactive substances.
