How to maintain leather shoes
Step 1: Brush off the dust with a horse brush. This step does not need water (otherwise it will be muddy), and the edges of the vamp, upper and sole should be carefully brushed clean, especially the part where the sole is connected with the vamp, which is easy to accumulate dust. If your shoes are handmade leather shoes with genuine leather soles, remember to brush the soles.

Step 2: For stubborn dirty stains, you can only wipe them with a soft cloth dipped in water. As mentioned above, the parts that are easy to accumulate dust can be brushed with a waste soft toothbrush if necessary (don't dip too much water), and then dry the water with a dry cloth.

This is what it looks like after wiping. Because the shoes have been waxed before, they also look clean. (Brock shoes are easy to accumulate dust when engraved, so you can pick them gently with a toothpick.)

Step 3: Then it's time for oiling. Dip the shoe polish with a small brush and evenly spread the upper.

Don't apply too much shoe polish (unless your shoes haven't been oiled for a long time).

The photo at the back is the effect of applying shoe polish. Spread every part of the shoes evenly, especially the parts that are easily overlooked.

It is black, so don't worry. Give it a rest time of 5 minutes after applying shoe polish, so that the nutrients of shoe polish can slowly penetrate into the leather, so as to have the nourishing effect of "SPA".

Step 4: Next, we polish our shoes with polishing brush. Polishing brush is a bristle brush. Exercise your arms and start polishing!

Polishing is complete. It's not dirty anymore. Most friends shine their shoes at home, so maybe this step is over. Even in the small shoeshine shop outside, this step is the standard finishing action.

Step 5: Use these three kinds: shoe wax, soft cloth and clear water.

This step may be repeated many times, and it is also a great pleasure for friends to wipe out the mirror-like upper through this step.

Wrap two fingers in soft cloth (in foreign countries, some people come directly with their bare hands, saying that this will make the waxing process feel more comfortable, but I haven't tried it yet).

Press the middle finger twice on the pressure bottle, dip your finger in one or two drops of water, then drop it on the vamp, and then draw two or three circles on the shoe wax with a soft cloth and stick it on. So you can wax the upper.

Wipe the wax, dip it in water, circle the vamp, and wipe the wax evenly. Then repeat.

This is the effect of six layers of wax. The shoes on the left foot are obviously brighter.
