"Summer heat" means heat. Slight summer heat means that the hot weather has just begun, but it has not yet reached the hottest time. After the slight summer heat, it began to fall. At this time, the temperature was high, the air pressure was low, the humidity was high, the wind speed was low, and there were more thunderstorms and strong winds. Affected by the hot and humid climate, the human body is prone to heatstroke, heart disease, skin disease and gastrointestinal diseases. The following five points should be paid attention to in keeping in good health in the summer.
First, cool summer, less movement and more quiet.
The temperature is high and the humidity is high during the summer heat, which is prone to heatstroke. It is characterized by thirst, nausea, dizziness, chest tightness, palpitation, fatigue, abnormal sweating, body heat, etc. In severe cases, there will be high fever and fainting. When heatstroke occurs, people need to go to a cool place as soon as possible and drink some drinks or drugs to relieve summer heat. In severe cases, they should be sent to the hospital as soon as possible for treatment.
To prevent heatstroke, we must first keep the environment cool, pay attention to window ventilation, and properly use air conditioners and fans to reduce the ambient temperature; Pay attention to timely hydration, drink some cool drinks such as honeysuckle dew, mung bean soup and sour plum soup before and after going out, eat more fruits and vegetables and meat, eggs and milk foods rich in protein; Clothes are light and soft, loose and breathable; Try to choose morning and evening time when going out for exercise to avoid long-term direct sunlight; Always have heatstroke prevention and cooling drugs around you, such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water.
In the summer, the weather is sultry, the energy consumption of human body increases, it is easy to feel tired and weak, and there will be "summer emotional disorder" such as irritability, thinking disorder and depression. Therefore, we should pay special attention to the mental and emotional rehabilitation, avoid rashness and anger in case of problems, maintain a calm mind and emotional stability, and achieve "calm mind and natural coolness." In work and life, we should pay attention to the combination of work and rest, adhere to the principle of "less movement and more quiet", go to nature, take a walk in the park, watch the scenery in the mountains and the river, and also read and paint, drink tea and recite poems and enjoy the cool scenery in a quiet room.
Second, protect the heart and get enough sleep.
In midsummer, when the climate is sultry, people are prone to shortness of breath and poor exercise tolerance after exercise, which is also the season when the elderly are most prone to cardiovascular accidents. Therefore, the elderly must pay attention to maintaining their hearts in summer.
The elderly should first ensure adequate rest and sleep during the summer heat. Patients with chronic diseases should try to stay in relatively cool rooms and try to avoid long-term activities at high temperatures. After sweating, light salt water can be properly supplemented. When using air conditioning, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor should not be too large, so as to avoid eating too cold food and prevent cold stimulation from causing rapid contraction of heart blood vessels and inducing angina pectoris. In order to prevent angina pectoris during sleep at night, the bedside can be raised by 8- 10cm.
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the heart qi and yin are most easily damaged during the summer heat, and symptoms such as palpitation, shortness of breath and chest tightness appear. Such patients can take drugs with the functions of invigorating qi and nourishing yin, such as Shengmaiyin and Huangqi.
Third, clearing away summer heat and dampness, and preventing and treating skin diseases
The hot and humid climate in the summer is easy to trigger a variety of skin diseases, such as furuncle, miliaria, eczema, insect bite dermatitis, solar dermatitis, papular urticaria, tinea pedis and so on. In order to reduce the troubles of skin diseases, we should pay attention to: indoor ventilation and cooling to avoid excessive humidity and high temperature; Dress loosely, change clothes frequently, try to keep your skin clean and dry, wipe your sweat with a dry towel, take a bath frequently, and apply prickly heat powder after bathing; After the light summer season, be careful not to sit on the wooden chairs and stools in the open air for a long time to avoid getting wet.
In addition, patients with skin diseases should avoid taking warming foods or drugs, and properly eat foods with heat-clearing and dampness-eliminating effects, such as wax gourd, loofah, bitter gourd, lotus leaf, etc. Washing honeysuckle with boiled water also has the effect of eliminating malnutrition and relieving itching.
Fourth, the diet should be clear and appropriate to protect the spleen and stomach.
The summer weather is hot, and the diet should be light. You should not eat too many spicy, high-oil, high-sugar and high-fat foods. Choose sweet and sour fresh fruits and vegetables with high water content, such as tomatoes, mangoes, watermelons, cucumbers and lettuce, to help promote appetite and replenish water. There is also a folk custom of eating lotus root and mung bean sprouts in the summer. Fresh lotus root is simmered with small fire and eaten with honey, which has the functions of clearing away heat, relieving anxiety and helping sleep. Mung bean sprouts have the effect of clearing away heat and toxic materials, and can be fried or cold.
There is also a custom of food supplement in the summer, which has three purposes. First, it can supplement the physical energy consumed in summer, such as edible duck, lean pork, beef, eggs and milk to supplement protein; Second, it can promote perspiration. Although it is hot in summer, proper perspiration is conducive to the timely discharge of cold and dampness in the body to prevent colds in summer. The traditional custom in the north lies on the second floor of jiaozi, which is intended to promote perspiration; Third, it can warm the yang, and make up for winter diseases in summer. As the saying goes, "Monopterus albus competes with ginseng in summer". Monopterus albus has the functions of invigorating the middle energizer, tonifying the liver and kidney, expelling wind and dampness, and strengthening the bones and muscles, and has a certain tonic effect on some patients with chronic bronchitis and rheumatoid arthritis in remission. There is also the custom of drinking mutton soup in summer in the north, which is suitable for people with yang deficiency and cold.
In addition, the summer heat is also a high incidence period of acute gastroenteritis. Pay attention to the choice of fresh, hygienic and digestible food, and the dishes taken out of the refrigerator should be heated before eating, so as to avoid eating too much cold drinks and food, so as not to damage the spleen and stomach. Patients with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold can drink some ginger tea in summer morning, which can help digestion and improve appetite.
Five, nourishing yang and eliminating diseases, treating winter diseases in summer
After the summer heat falls, it is the best time to treat winter diseases in summer. "Treating diseases in winter in summer" refers to adjusting the yin and yang of the human body to prevent and treat diseases that are prone to occur in winter.
Treatment of winter diseases in summer is mainly used to treat diseases with deficiency and cold constitution and low immunity, such as repeated colds, asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic diarrhea, chronic gastritis, dysmenorrhea and so on.
Acupoint sticking is one of the most important treatment methods for "treating winter diseases in summer". In dog days, the skin is loose, and drugs can easily penetrate into acupoints and meridians from the skin, which can get twice the result with half the effort. Besides, dietotherapy, medicine and acupuncture are all common treatments for winter diseases in summer.
