Native to tropical Asia. It is cultivated in Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Taiwan Province provinces. Like to grow in hillside grass or bushes.
In late summer and early autumn, dig out the roots that have grown for 4-6 years, remove the stems, leaves, fibrous roots and scales, wash them, then cut them into small pieces and dry them in the sun. What is ground into powder is called "good ginger powder".
The difference with ginger
Ginger is mainly used for seasoning, fresh fishy smell in cooking and as an auxiliary material. Alpine ginger should be an improved variety of ginger. As the main ingredient, it is not as spicy as ginger.
