Introduction
Tianmen Mountain, formerly known as Yunmeng Mountain and Songliang Mountain, is the highest mountain in Yongding County, Zhangjiajie, 8 kilometers away from the urban area. It is named after Tianmen Cave, which is a natural wonder and the earliest recorded famous mountain in history. The main peak is 1518.6 meters, which was approved as a national forest park in July, 1992.
In the 6th year of Wu 'an, Yong 'an in the Three Kingdoms (AD 263), the cliff of Song Liang suddenly opened like a gate, forming a rare spectacle in the world-Tianmen Cave, which runs north and south. The gate is 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide and 61 meters deep. It rises from the ground like a gate to heaven, hence the name Tianmen Mountain.

Ghost Valley plank road
The Tianmen Mountain Ghost Valley plank road is located in the fairy fairyland scenic spot, named after the cliff hanging above the Ghost Valley Cave. Ghost plank road is 811 meters long with an average elevation of 1411 meters. The starting point is a red pavilion and the end point is Xiaotianmen. Different from other plank roads, the whole plank road of Ghost Valley is not on the top of the cliff, nor on the edge of the cliff, but stands in the middle of the cliff, giving people a feeling of ups and downs with the cliff. Walking on the plank road is not the most exciting. Tianmenshan Temple
