Huaikou Service Area of Chengnan Expressway is the first batch of pilot units in Sichuan Province, which was completed and put into use in July last year. After the renovation, the buildings in the service area are quite western Sichuan residential style, with beautiful appearance and more reasonable layout. Restaurants, supermarkets and toilets have all been upgraded. A children's play area, a mother and baby room, a leisure coffee bar, a fitness area, a motel, a mobile phone charging, and an introduction to scenic spots along expressway have also been built. A comprehensive service area integrating rest, shopping, sightseeing and culture has taken shape.

Huaikou service area has become a landscape along Chengnan Expressway. According to statistics, the traffic and people flow to Huaikou service area have increased by more than 40% compared with before the transformation. Peng Hong, Chairman of Chengnan Expressway Company, analyzed that Huaikou Service Area is not far from Chengdu, and traffic can stop. At present, the rapid increase of people's flow and people's flow shows people's demand and recognition for Huaikou service area, and also shows that the transformation of service area is promising.
