Daxinganling Vocal Music College is a public, full-time comprehensive university, the northernmost university in China, and the only pilot university in Daxing 'anling under the "Excellent Doctoral Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education. In 2002, Daxinganling Education College (Resources), Daxinganling Forestry School, Daxinganling Normal School, Daxinganling Forestry Administration and Health School and Heilongjiang Radio and TV University (Daxinganling Branch) merged and upgraded to Daxinganling Vocational College.
