4.5. 10 floor drain shall meet the following requirements:
1 Straight-through floor drains should be given priority.
2 Where sanitary standards require high or infrequent use of floor drains, closed floor drains should be set up.

4.5. 10 According to the investigation, the bell-type floor drain has the disadvantages of shallow water seal and easy bowl throwing. In many hotels, hotels, houses and other residential and public buildings, floor drains become exhaust holes, and harmful gases in sewage pipes enter the room, which pollutes the indoor environmental sanitation.
Although some enterprises have deepened the depth of water seal on the basis of old bell-type floor drains, engineering practice has proved that the biggest disadvantage of these floor drains is that the water flow channel is narrow, curved and easy to block, and people have to disassemble their inner cores, resulting in the loss of water seal and pollution of indoor environment.
The article added that closed floor drains should be set up in places with high sanitary standards or infrequent drainage. If the common floor drain is used in an infrequent place, the water seal of the floor drain will often dry up, which will lead to the odor in the sewage pipeline system escaping into the room and polluting the indoor air. Closed floor drain has the function of opening when draining and closing when not draining.
