On the top layer of our logo, create a "solid color" adjustment layer in the form of a clipping mask, this adjustment layer is what we will use to modify the color.

In some templates, we can often see, the author will be in the top layer to put a smart object, and named modify the logo, today, we do the same thing, once again copy a logo smart object layer, placed in the top layer, and will change the fill to 0, so that this layer is equivalent to the useless, but only to make the use of templates more intuitive to the operation of the people.
Of course, you can go ahead and add some adjustment layers like "Hue/Saturation" and "Solid Color" at the top to modify the tone of the whole image, but it's not a big deal.

Because it is all about adding layer styles to the smart object to achieve the effect, so I said at the beginning, put in the LOGO and then turn the smart object, because at this time, your LOGO is not any effect superimposed on the original LOGO, just the original LOGO, if you add the effect and then turn the smart object, everything has changed.
On the solid color fill, here is just to provide a way of thinking, you do not use solid color fill, with gradient fill, can not? People are alive, and the methods are varied.
This template, if you do not show the logo, directly use the text, the effect is not bad.
