1, on the vaccination policy
Implementation of strict vaccination policy. Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics athletes participating in the vaccination "should be received as much as possible". Other people will be subject to a "two-for-one" policy, i.e., those who have completed a full vaccination program 14 days before coming to China will enter closed-loop management directly after entering China; those who have not been vaccinated or who have not completed a full vaccination program will be subject to 21 days of centralized isolation and observation after entering China. All vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization or relevant international organizations, or officially approved by the relevant countries/regions are recognized.
2. Policy on closed-loop management during the Games
From January 23 to the end of the Winter Paralympics, closed-loop management will be implemented to ensure the safe hosting of the Winter Games. Closed-loop management will cover arrival and departure, transportation, lodging, food and beverage, competition, opening and closing ceremonies, and all other venues related to the Winter Olympics. Within the Closed Loop, Participants will only be allowed to move between Winter Olympic venues to participate in activities related to their training, competition and work. A dedicated Winter Olympics transportation system will be used within the Closed Circle.
3. Spectator Policy
In view of the fact that the global situation regarding the prevention and control of the new Crown Pneumonia outbreak remains serious and complex, and in order to prevent the possible spread of the new Crown Pneumonia outbreak and to ensure the safety of all parties involved in the competition, it has been decided that tickets will not be sold to spectators from outside the country, but only to spectators within the country who meet the requirements related to the prevention and control of the outbreak. Domestic audience need to comply with the specific epidemic prevention and control requirements as well as the specific arrangements for ticketing work is being studied and developed, will be released to the community in due course after the determination.
4. Regarding the policy on registered guests
The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games and the IOC are evaluating and optimizing all activities and implementing the principle of not coming to China unless it is necessary. This principle will also be applied by all stakeholders in organizing tours and conducting work programs. In line with this principle, the IOC Executive Board has decided to eliminate the Guest Registration category for all stakeholders.
5. On the accommodation policy
Except for the athletes and some accompanying officials who will stay in the Winter Olympic Village, all registered personnel will stay in the hotels contracted by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games, complying with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
6. About Nucleic Acid Testing
All domestic and foreign Winter Olympic participants and staff entering the closed loop will undergo daily nucleic acid testing. In addition, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics will provide assistance to Winter Olympic stakeholders who are unable to independently book flights before or during the Games.
