1. No smoking regulations in Chongqing

Smoking is prohibited in indoor areas of public places. However, smoking areas can be designated or set up in indoor areas of some public places:

(1) catering service places;

(2) accommodation and rest service places;

(3) Public places of entertainment. Encourage the indoor areas of public places where smoking areas can be designated or set up as stipulated in the preceding paragraph to completely ban smoking.

II. Other provisions

1. Which public places are prohibited from smoking in the outdoor areas?

(a) primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, children's welfare homes, children's palaces, youth activity centers, training institutions and other public places with minors as the main activity groups; (2) Maternal and child health care institutions and children's hospitals; (three) public sports venues, sports venues, performance venues; (four) the waiting area for public transport; (5) Other places where smoking is prohibited as stipulated by laws and regulations. The people's governments of cities, districts and counties (autonomous counties) may, according to the needs of holding large-scale activities, temporarily designate outdoor areas where smoking is prohibited outside the areas specified in the preceding paragraph.

2.? What kind of punishment will be imposed on individuals who violate the provisions of this Ordinance?

whoever, in violation of the provisions of these regulations, smokes in public places where smoking is prohibited shall be ordered by the relevant supervision and management departments to make corrections and may be fined 51 yuan; Refuses to correct, a fine of two hundred yuan; Those who do not listen to dissuasion, and who violate the provisions of public security management by disturbing social order or obstructing the execution of official duties, shall be punished by the public security organs according to law.

if a minor has the circumstances specified in the preceding paragraph, the operator, manager or relevant supervision and management department of the public place shall notify the guardian or the school to criticize and educate him, and the guardian and the school shall take measures to help him quit smoking.

3? What kind of punishment will operators and managers who violate the provisions of this Ordinance receive?

if the operators or managers of public places violate the provisions of these regulations and do not set up smoking areas or prohibit smoking, the relevant supervision and management departments shall order them to make corrections within a time limit; If no correction is made within the time limit, a fine of not less than five thousand yuan but not more than twenty thousand yuan shall be imposed. In violation of the provisions of these regulations, the setting of smoking areas does not meet the requirements, and the relevant supervision and management departments shall order it to make corrections within a time limit; If no correction is made within the time limit, a fine of two thousand yuan or more and ten thousand yuan or less shall be imposed.
