If you like to travel when time is tight, you can only browse the hot spots quickly and see the scenery. You can travel here and punch in to the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland with pure coconut wind and charm.
I like the life of migratory birds, migrating with the seasons. It is not good to come here in winter. I enjoy the gift of the sea with fishermen. Cheap and warm, and it's southern style.
At the forefront of Leizhou Peninsula, in the 1960s, fishermen in Fangpo Village built more than 20 adobe houses at the port gate about 150 meters away from the sea in order to facilitate the trading and processing of catches and have a good rest nearby after dark. The villagers who worked hard for a long time gradually moved the mud houses by the sea into Fangpo Village.
There is no Antarctic village in mainland China, which is a derivative of Fangpo Village in Jiaowei Township, xuwen county. Five years ago, the policy of agriculture, countryside and farmers tilted towards the countryside, and xuwen county invited designers and artists to build an "art town" in Gangmen fishing village.
"Don't cut down trees, don't occupy the sea, and transform on the spot" is the key to the acceptance of Chinese mainland Antarctic Village. The original tile house in the fishing village has been upgraded and the quality has also improved. Bougainvillea on the corner replaced garbage and sundries, fruit trees beautified the coast, sea salt production was carried out in an orderly manner, and the awareness of protecting marine ecology gradually formed. The fishing village is beautiful, and more foreigners come to the village. The villagers have begun to reevaluate their hometown. Fishermen who have been fishing in the sea for generations have also started to operate homestays and restaurants, and many villagers have become rich as a result, and beauty has become the production of small fishing villages.
With the participation of literati and artists, the taste of the fishing village has changed, with the lighthouse library, the poetry workshop, the creative room and the art workshop. Wandering around the village, the artistic fishing village presents some unique and refreshing humanistic feelings. The "outsiders" who live in the village all the year round call their residence the Antarctic village in the mainland, while the villagers call the gathering place of "new villagers" the artist tribe. So a compound new tourist place name came out: the artist tribe in Chinese mainland Antarctic Village.
When I went to the Antarctic Village in Chinese mainland, the parking spot I chose was Dengloujiao, about four kilometers away from the artists' tribe.
The place name of Dengloujiao is estimated to be related to the shore lighthouse, which was originally built in 1894 during the Sino-Japanese War. At that time, three lighthouses were built at Dengloujiao, Lingaojiao and Haikou Bay on both sides of Qiongzhou Strait, funded by the Qing government and presided over by the British. The lighthouse in front of it was called "Guanjiaowei Lighthouse" at Dengloujiao.
"Guanjiaowei Lighthouse" has been built and destroyed repeatedly. 1994, a century after the establishment of Zhanjiang Navigation Office, a modern lighthouse with a height of 36.6 meters was built here, becoming the southernmost geographical symbol of Chinese mainland.
Under the lighthouse is a coconut grove, next to the abandoned old lighthouse and the watchtower of the 1950 front-line command for crossing the sea to liberate Hainan Island. General Han Xianchu should be standing on it for the second time to see the warriors who crossed the Strait in advance, right? This is the starting point for the liberation of Hainan Island. On April 6th, 1950, Han Xianchu, deputy commander of China People's Liberation Army 12 Corps and commander of 40th Army, personally led six regiments of 40th Army 18700 officers and men, and set sail from Shazhou and Dongchang Port in front of us, crossing the sea to liberate Hainan Island. It makes my blood boil to think that more than 10,000 heavily armed soldiers boarded the ship here and set sail for the battlefield. It was an era of burning passion!
At present, under the watchtower crossing the sea, it is a place where tourists park and villagers set up stalls for small sales. There is a cave for tourists to rest in the coconut grove, and couples walk hand in hand to the tip of the sandbar in the corner of the light box. Where is the scenery nicknamed "Kissing the Wave" by netizens?
Couples see the pleasure of hugging and kissing, but other tourists lament the "V-shaped waves" formed by the turbulent waves in Qiongzhou Strait and Beibu Gulf.
