These plastic garbage bags are very harmful to marine life. Because these plastic bags are refined from petroleum, they are insoluble, and it takes about 211 years to rot when buried underground. If they sink directly into the seabed and are eaten by marine life by mistake, it will seriously lead to the death of marine life.

We have watched many environmental protection programs before. Some marine life will die inexplicably and then float to the surface of the sea. When marine biologists dissect them, they will find some plastic lunch boxes, plastic bags and so on in their stomachs. They can't digest and absorb these foods, and they can't spit them out. Take the recent case that thousands of garbage bags were fished out of the Aegean Sea bottom. After they sank to the bottom of the sea, all the garbage bags were attached to the marine life at the bottom of the sea. Coral bodies were covered with hundreds of millions of garbage bags. We can imagine that after the garbage bags covered the nose and mouth, we could not breathe. Therefore, when these garbage bags covered coral bodies, it would naturally affect the growth of coral.

When these marine creatures can't grow normally, they will be harmed by these garbage bags. Some of them can't digest or eat after eating garbage bags by mistake, until they die, and some even directly affect their breathing.
